Zero Waste in the Kitchen

Wednesday 30 August 6.30pm-8.30pm

About 1/3 of the average garbage bin is made up of avoidable food waste. This handy workshop teaches you how to prevent food being wasted through better shopping, meal planning and food storage. You will also learn to reduce packaging and plastic in your daily shop.  Make a quick and simple produce bag out of an old t-shirt. A partnership with Kingborough Council. Cost $10

 The Salvaged Art Exhibition is a community event managed and promoted by Kingborough Council.
‚Äč In 2017 Salvaged Art will focus on climate change including threats such as sea level rise, temperature increase, fire and storm risk. Entries may also address adaptation, mitigation, resilience and recovery.
 
Entry is open to all artists, hobbyists, young people, community groups and schools. All artworks are to be made from recycled, re-purposed and reused materials and will address the theme Climate Change.
